76. ✧ Abdullah b. Zaid b. 'Asim al-Ansari

    " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ فَدَلَكَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ

    ✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ perform ablution and rub his forearms.

    " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَسْقِي فَحَوَّلَ النَّاسَ ظَهْرَهُ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِالنَّاسِ وَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ

    ✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went out to pray for rain. He turned his back to the people, faced the qibla, turned his cloak inside out, and prayed two rak'ahs with the people, reciting aloud.

    ✧ I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ lying on his back in the mosque, with one of his legs placed over the other.

    أَلَا أَتَوَضَّأُ لَكُمْ وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قُلْنَا: بَلَى، " فَتَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ بِغَرْفَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدِهِ وَأَدْبَرَ بِهَا، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا كَانَ وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

    ✧ Shall I not perform ablution for you as the Messenger of God ﷺ did? We said: 'Yes.' So he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water with a single handful three times, then washed his face three times, then washed his forearms twice each, then wiped his head, bringing his hands forward and back, and washed his feet three times each. Then he said: 'This is how the ablution of the Messenger of God ﷺ was.'

    أَنَّهُ رَأَى الْأَذَانَ فِي الْمَنَامِ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، قَالَ: فَأَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ، قَالَ: وَجَاءَ عَمِّي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنَا أَرَى الرُّؤْيَا وَيُؤَذِّنُ بِلَالٌ ! قَالَ: فَأَقِمْ أَنْتَ، قَالَ: فَأَقَامَ عَمِّي

    ✧ He saw the call to prayer in a dream, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: 'Then Bilal called the adhan.' He said: 'My uncle came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, I see the dream, yet Bilal gives the adhan!' He said: 'Then you give the iqama.' He said: 'So my uncle gave the iqama.'
