29. ✧ those from whom I heard among the women

   قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَدَعَا بِدُعَاءٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعِ النَّاسُ مِثْلَهُ، وَاسْتَعَاذَ اسْتِعَاذَةً لَمْ يَسْمَعِ النَّاسُ مِثْلَهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ: كَيْفَ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنْ نَدْعُوَ بِمِثْلِ مَا دَعَوْتَ بِهِ، وَأَنْ نَسْتَعِيذَ كَمَا اسْتَعَذْتَ ؟ فَقَالَ: " قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ، إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا سَأَلَكَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ، وَنَسْتَعِيذُ مِمَّا اسْتَعَاذَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ

   ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and made a supplication the like of which the people had never heard, and he sought refuge with a seeking of refuge the like of which the people had never heard. Some of the people said to him: 'How can we, O Messenger of Allah, supplicate with the like of what you supplicated, and seek refuge as you sought refuge?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, we ask You by what Muhammad Your servant and Messenger asked You, and we seek refuge from what Muhammad Your servant and Messenger sought refuge from.'

2. al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1198No grade recorded

   خَيْرُ فُرْسَانِنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، وَخَيْرُ رَجَّالَتِنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ

   ✧ Our best horseman is Abu Qatada, and our best footman is Salama b. al-Akwa'.

3. al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1199No grade recorded

   أَنَّهُ حَرَسَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ بَدْرٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: اللَّهُمَّ، احْفَظْ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ كَمَا حَفِظَ نَبِيَّكَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ

   ✧ That he guarded the Prophet ﷺ on the night of Badr. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Allah, protect Abu Qatada as he protected Your Prophet this night.'

4. al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1200No grade recorded

   أَغَارَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ عَلَى لِقَاحِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَرَكِبْتُ، فَأَدْرَكْتُهُمْ، وَقَتَلْتُ مَسْعَدَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَآنِي أَفْلَحَ الْوَجْهِ: " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَنَفَّلَنِي سَلَبَ مَسْعَدَةَ

   ✧ The polytheists raided the milch-camels of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I mounted and overtook them and killed Mas'ada. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me, he said: 'May his face prosper!' Then he said: 'O Allah, forgive him' three times, and he gave me the spoils of Mas'ada as a reward.

5. al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1201No grade recorded

   لَيْسَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ غَزْوٌ، وَلَا جُمُعَةٌ، وَلَا تَشْيِيعُ جِنَازَةٍ

   ✧ Women are not obliged to go on military expeditions, nor to attend the Friday prayer, nor to follow funeral processions.

6. al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1202No grade recorded

   مَنْ أَخَذَ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شِبْرًا طَوَّقَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

   ✧ Whoever takes a handspan from the path of the Muslims, Allah will collar him on the Day of Resurrection with seven earths.

   الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللهِ - تَعَالَى - غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ

   ✧ The Qur’an is the speech of Allah, exalted is He, uncreated.
