نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ. وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
✧ Ya'qub b. Ibrahim b. Sa'd narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Ishaq, from Isma'il b. Abi Hakim, from al-Qasim b. Muhammad, from Abd Allah b. Ja'far, from the Prophet ﷺ with something similar. And we do not know this hadith to be reported from Abd Allah b. Ja'far except with this isnad.

✧ I asked Abdullah b. Ja'far about the bequest—that is, did the Prophet ﷺ make a bequest? He said: "I did not hear of it until I came to this land of yours."

✧ When Ja'far arrived from Abyssinia, the Prophet ﷺ came to him and kissed him between his eyes, and said: "I am not more delighted by the conquest of Khaybar than I am by the arrival of Ja'far ؓ."

لَمَّا نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الرَّحْمَةِ هَابِطَةً قَالَ: مَنْ يَدْعُو لِي ؟ فَقَالَتِ ابْنَتُهُ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: " ادْعِي عَلِيًّا ؓ، فَدُعِيَ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَالْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ ؓ، فَجَعَلَ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَالْحُسَيْنَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَفَاطِمَةَ تُجَاهَهُ، ثُمَّ غَشَاهُمْ كِسَاءً، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلِي "، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا
✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw mercy descending, he said: 'Who will supplicate for me?' His daughter said: 'I will, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Call Ali ؓ.' So Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn ؓ were called. He placed al-Hasan on his right, al-Husayn on his left, and Fatimah in front of him. Then he covered them with a cloak and said: 'These are my family.' Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed: 'Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity, O people of the household, and to purify you with a thorough purification.'

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ - وَهُوَ يَدْفِنُ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ؓ - فَأَتَى بِنَمِرَةٍ يُكَفَّنُ فِيهَا، فَبَدَتْ قَدَمَاهُ حَتَّى خَمَّرَ رَأْسَهُ وَجَعَلَ عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ - أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ إِذْخَرٌ - ثُمَّ دَفَنَهُ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَوْلَا أَنْ يَحْزَنَ لِذَلِكَ نِسَاؤُنَا لَتَرَكْتُكَ بِالْعَرَاءِ لِعَامَّةِ الطَّيْرِ وَالسِّبَاعِ
✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, while he was burying Hamzah b. Abd al-Muttalib ؓ, a striped cloak was brought to shroud him. His feet became exposed, so he covered his head and placed on his feet — I think he said: idhkhir (a kind of grass) — then he buried him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Were it not that our women would grieve for it, I would have left you in the open for the birds and beasts of prey.'

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَكَرَ جَيْشَ الْأُمَرَاءِ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ جَعْفَرٌ فَأُصِيبَ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ فَأُصِيبَ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَأُصِيبَ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ
✧ That the Prophet ﷺ mentioned the army of the commanders and said: 'Then Ja'far took the banner and was martyred. Then Zayd b. Harithah took it and was martyred. Then Abdullah b. Rawahah took it and was martyred. Then a sword from the swords of Allah, Blessed and Exalted, Khalid b. al-Walid, took it.'

" كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ حَاجَةً أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَسْتَهْدِفَ بِحَائِطٍ أَوْ حَائِشِ نَخْلٍ فَأَرْدَفَنِي خَلْفَهُ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ إِلَى أَصْلِ حَائِطٍ فَاسْتَهْدَفَ
✧ "When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to relieve himself, he liked to conceal himself behind a wall or a cluster of palm trees. He seated me behind him, then went to the base of a wall and concealed himself.
