✧ My mother took me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he wiped my head and supplicated for provision for me.

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْفَجْرَ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ: فَلا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ لَا يَحْنِي رَجُلٌ مِنَّا ظَهْرَهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَقِيمَ سَاجِدًا
✧ I prayed Fajr behind the Prophet ﷺ, and I heard him reciting: 'Nay, I swear by the retreating stars, the runners, the sinkers.' He said: And none of us would bend his back until he was upright in prostration.

بِعْتُ دَارًا لِي وَأَرْضًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَقَالَ لِي أَخِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ: اسْتَعِفَّ عَنْهَا مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، وَلَا تُنْفِقَنَّ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ بَاعَ دَارًا أَوْ عَقَارًا فَإِنَّهُ قَمِنٌ أَنْ لَا يُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ فِي مِثْلِهِ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: فَاشْتَرَيْتُ بِبَعْضِ ثَمَنِهَا دَارِي هَذِهِ، يَعْنِي دَارَ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ
✧ I sold a house of mine and land in Madinah. My brother Sa'id b. Hurayth said to me: Withhold from it as much as you can, and do not spend any of it, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever sells a house or real estate, it is likely that he will not be blessed in it unless he puts it into the like of it. 'Amr said: So I bought with part of its price this house of mine, meaning the house of 'Amr b. Hurayth.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Abd Allah b. Ja'far while he was selling with the boys or the children, and he said: 'O Allah, bless him in his sale,' or he said: 'in his transaction.'

أَتَيْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ أَتَكَارَى مِنْهُ بَيْتًا فِي دَارِهِ، فَقَالَ: تَكَارَّ، فَإِنَّهَا مُبَارَكَةٌ عَلَى مَنْ هِيَ لَهُ، مُبَارَكَةٌ عَلَى مَنْ سَكَنَهَا، فَقُلْتُ: مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ نُحِرَتْ جَزُورٌ، وَقَدْ أَمَرَ بِقِسْمَتِهَا، فَقَالَ لِلَّذِي يَقْسِمُهَا: أَعْطِ عَمْرًا مِنْهَا قَسْمًا، فَلَمْ يُعْطِنِي، وَأَغْفَلَنِي، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْغَدِ، أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ دَرَاهِمُ، فَقَالَ: أَخَذْتَ الْقَسْمَ الَّذِي أَمَرْتُ لَكَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَعْطَانِي شَيْئًا، قَالَ: فَتَنَاوَلَ كَفًّا مِنْ دَرَاهِمَ، ثُمَّ أَعْطَانِيهَا، فَجِئْتُ بِهَا إِلَى أُمِّي، فَقُلْتُ: خُذِي هَذِهِ الدَّرَاهِمَ، أَخَذَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ، ثُمَّ أَعْطَانِيهَا، أَمْسِكِيهَا حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ فِي أَيِّ شَيْءٍ نَضَعُهَا، ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ الدَّهْرُ ضَرْبًا بِهِ حَتَّى اشْتَرَيْتُ هَذِهِ الدَّارَ، قَالَتْ أُمِّي: إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَنْقُدَ ثَمَنَهَا فَلَا تَنْقُدْ حَتَّى تَدْعُوَنِي أَدْعُو لَكَ بِالْبَرَكَةِ، فَدَعَوْتُهَا حِينَ هَيَّأْتُهَا، فَقَالَتْ لِي: خُذْ هَذِهِ الدَّرَاهِمَ، فَنَثَرْتُهَا فِيهَا، ثُمَّ خَلَطْتُهَا بِهَا، وَقَالَتِ: اذْهَبْ بِهَا
✧ I came to Amr b. Hurayth to rent a house in his dwelling from him, and he said: 'Rent it, for it is blessed for whoever owns it, blessed for whoever lives in it.' I said: 'From what is that?' He said: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after a camel had been slaughtered and he had ordered its distribution. He said to the one distributing it: "Give Amr a portion of it." But he did not give me anything and neglected me. The next day, I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and before him were dirhams. He said: "Did you take the portion I ordered for you?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, he did not give me anything." He said: So he took a handful of dirhams and gave them to me. I brought them to my mother and said: "Take these dirhams; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took them with his hand and gave them to me. Keep them until we see in what to put them." Then time passed until I bought this house. My mother said: "When you want to pay its price, do not pay until you call me so that I may supplicate for you for blessing." So I called her when I had prepared it, and she said to me: "Take these dirhams." So I scattered them among it, then mixed them with it, and she said: "Take it."
