✧ I prayed the dawn prayer with the Prophet ﷺ and he recited: 'When the sun is folded up.' It is as if I hear his voice saying: 'So I swear by the retreating stars, the runners, the hidden ones.' And he said: 'My mother and father took me to him and he supplicated for me for provision.'

machine translationThis is a mistake (khaṭaʾ) in which Yaḥyā b. Yamān erred. A group narrated it from Ismāʿīl, from al-Aṣbagh, the freed slave of ʿAmr b. Ḥurayth, from ʿAmr b. Ḥurayth, and this is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version.
