✧ Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari sought permission from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, three times, but he was not granted permission. So he returned and said, "What made you come back?" Abu Musa replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying, 'If someone seeks permission three times and is not granted it, then let them return.' So Umar said, 'Bring someone to testify with you or I will do something [harsh].' Abu Sa'eed said, 'Umar called me while I was in the mosque, fearing Umar's anger towards me. He stood up and said, 'I swear by Allah, among you there is a man who heard this from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, except that he did not testify to it.' I lifted my head and said, 'Let me inform Umar that I am with you on this.' Others also said the same, and Abu Musa's problem was resolved."
