حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
جِيءَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ أَوِ ابْنِ النُّعَيْمَانِ شَارِبًا فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوا قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أَنَا فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ فَضَرَبْنَاهُ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ

When An-Nuaman or his son was brought in a state of drunkenness, Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered all those who were present in the house to beat him. I was one of those who beat him. We beat him with shoes and palm-leaf stalks.
