حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، نَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled to Badr and consulted the Muslims. Abū Bakr, may Allah have mercy on him, advised him, then he consulted ʿUmar and he advised him, may Allah have mercy on him, then he consulted them. The Anṣār said: “O assembly of Anṣār, it is you whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ means.” They said: “Then we will not say what the Children of Israel said to Moses ﷺ: ‘Go, you and your Lord, and fight.’ By the One who sent you with the truth, if you struck with us the livers of camels to Bark al-Ghimād, we would follow you.”
