✧ The Muslims heard the Prophet ﷺ calling out at night over the well of Badr: “O Abū Jahl b. Hishām, O ʿUtbah b. Rabīʿah, O Shaybah b. Rabīʿah, O Umayyah b. Khalaf, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have found what my Lord promised me to be true.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, are you calling people who have become corpses?” He said: “You are no more able to hear what I say than they are, except that they cannot respond.”
