✧ There was a camel belonging to some people of the Ansar which they used for drawing water. It became refractory and refused them its back. The Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, we had a camel that we used for drawing water, and it became refractory and refused us its back. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions: Arise. So they arose with him, and he came to a garden while the camel was in a corner. It came walking toward him. They said: O Messenger of Allah, it has become like a dog, and we fear for you from it—or we fear its attack upon you. He said: There is no harm to me from it. When the camel saw him, it came moving until it fell down prostrating before him. His companions said: O Messenger of Allah, this is a beast that does not reason, and we do reason. We are more deserving to prostrate to you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: It is not right for anything to prostrate to anything. Even if it were right for anything to prostrate to anything, I would command the woman to prostrate to her husband because of the greatness of his right over her.
