✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when the sun eclipsed. He rose and went to the mosque, dragging his cloak in haste. The people stood up to join him, and he prayed two rak'ahs as you pray. When he sat, he addressed us, saying: "The sun and the moon are two of God's signs with which He frightens His servants. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. When you see an eclipse of either of them, pray and supplicate until what afflicts you is removed."
