machine translationAs for the hadith of al-Minhāl b. Baḥr, from Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, from ʿUmar: it is only narrated by the trustworthy memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) from Hishām, from Yaḥyā, from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿUmar, as a mursal report. This hadith is only known from the hadith of Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥumayd, and Muḥammad is a man from the people of Madinah who is not strong (laysa bi-qawī). A group of trustworthy narrators narrated from him and tolerated his hadith. He narrated this hadith from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, from ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, and he also narrated another hadith in which he was not corroborated.
