✧ Captives were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and there was a woman among them who, whenever she found an infant among the captives, took it, pressed it to her belly, and suckled it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us: Do you think this woman would throw her child into the fire? We said: No, by Allah, while she is able not to throw him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah is more merciful to His servant than this woman is to her child.
