✧ Tell me who will have the greatest station with Allah on the Day of Resurrection. They said: The angels. He said: What prevents them, despite their nearness to their Lord? Rather, others. They said: The prophets. He said: What prevents them, while revelation descends upon them? Rather, others. They said: Then tell us, O Messenger of Allah. He said: A people who come after you, who believe in me though they have not seen me, and who find the written page and believe in it. Those are the greatest of creation in station, and those are the greatest of creation in faith with Allah on the Day of Resurrection.

machine translationAs for the hadith of al-Minhāl b. Baḥr, from Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, from ʿUmar: it is only narrated by the trustworthy memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) from Hishām, from Yaḥyā, from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿUmar, as a mursal report. This hadith is only known from the hadith of Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥumayd, and Muḥammad is a man from the people of Madinah who is not strong (laysa bi-qawī).
