✧ A doorkeeper sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he said: "Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise." It was Abu Bakr. Then another sought permission, so he said: "Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise." It was 'Umar. Then another sought permission, so he said: "Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise, upon affliction"—I think he said: that will befall him. It was 'Uthman. 'Uthman said: "I ask Allah for patience."
