✧ The believer sees his sins as if he is at the base of a mountain, fearing that it will fall upon him, whereas the hypocrite sees his sins like a fly that landed on something and he waved it off thus, and it flew away. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is more pleased with the repentance of a believer than a man who goes out in a desolate, perilous land with his mount carrying his provisions, food, and drink. He loses her, so he goes out searching for her until, when death overtakes him, he says: I will return to the place where I lost her and die there. So he returns, his eyes overcome him, and he awakens to find his mount at his head, carrying his provisions, food, and drink.'
