✧ The first hadith of Alqamah, from Abdullah b. Mas'ud, from the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ، فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَيْهِ؛ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّكَ لَتُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا، قَالَ: إِنَّا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ يُضَاعَفُ لَنَا الْأَجْرُ - أَحْسَبُهُ - قَالَ: وَإِنِّي أُوعَكُ كَمَا يُوعَكُ رَجُلَانِ مِنْكُمْ

✧ I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was suffering from a fever. I placed my hand on him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you are suffering from a severe fever.' He said: 'We prophets have our reward multiplied—I think he said—and I suffer fever as two men of you would suffer.'
