أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى: الدَّيْرَعَاقُولِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَنْبَأَ شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ:

أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ مِنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ رِيحَ طِيبٍ، وَهُوَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ، وَهُمْ حُجَّاجٌ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ: مِمَّنْ رِيحُ هَذَا الطِّيبِ ؟ قَالَ: شَيْءٌ طَيَّبَتْنِي أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ: لَعَمْرِي أُقْسِمُ بِاللهِ لَتَرْجِعَنَّ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَغْسِلَهُ فَوَاللهِ لَأَنْ أَجِدَ مِنَ الْمُحْرِمِ رِيحَ الْقَطِرَانِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَجِدَ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الطِّيبِ
