أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ، ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ، وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، فَأُتِيَ بِشَارِبٍ فَأَمَرَهُمْ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِمَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ؛ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَضْرِبُ بِالسَّوْطِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مِنْ يَضْرِبُ بِالْعَصَا، وَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ التُّرَابَ
