Musnad Ahmad 98

Translation

✧ A man struck his son with a sword and killed him. It was brought to Umar, and he said: “Were it not that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A parent is not to be subjected to retaliation for his child, I would have killed you before you left.”
