✧ Whoever drags his lower garment out of arrogance, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Zayd said: Ibn Umar used to relate that the Prophet ﷺ saw him while he was wearing a rustling (i.e., new) lower garment. He said: Who is this? I said: I am Abdullah. He said: If you are Abdullah, then raise your lower garment. He said: So I raised it. He said: More. He said: So I raised it until it reached mid-calf. He said: Then he turned to Abu Bakr and said: Whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Bakr said: My lower garment sometimes slips down. The Prophet ﷺ said: You are not one of them.
