حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَنْ مَوْلَاةٍ لَهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهَا لَيْلَى تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَدَّتِي وَهِيَ أُمُّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتُ كَعْبٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَرَّبَتْ إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا، فَقَالَ لَهَا: كُلِي. فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّي عَلَى الصَّائِمِ إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَهُ حَتَّى يَفْرُغُوا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon her, and she brought food near to him. He said to her: Eat. She said: I am fasting. He said: The angels pray for blessing upon the fasting person when food is eaten in his presence until they finish.
