✧ One of the daughters of the Prophet ﷺ died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and said: 'Wash her with sidr (lote-tree leaves), and wash her an odd number of times: three, or five, or more than that if you see fit. And put camphor—or some camphor—in the last washing. When you have finished, inform me.' She said: When we had finished, we informed him, and he threw his waist-wrapper to us and said: 'Shroud her in it.' Umm 'Atiyya said: We braided the hair of the Prophet's daughter ﷺ into three plaits and placed them behind her—her two side locks and her forelock.
