✧ The Prophet ﷺ made a pledge with us and took from us an oath that we will not mourn excessively. Then, a woman from the Ansar said, "The family of so-and-so made me happy during the pre-Islamic period, and they have a special event. I will not pledge allegiance to you until I make them happy as they made me." She then said, "It seemed as if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ agreed with her on that. So, she went and made them happy, then she returned and pledged her allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ." Umm Atiyyah said, "No woman among us fulfilled her pledge except for her and Umm Sulaim bint Milhan."
