machine translationThis hadith of Qatādah is disputed with respect to Qatādah, and likewise the hadith of Umm Salamah is disputed; among its narrators are some by whom no proof is established. Most of the people of knowledge consider these two hadiths weak (ḍaʿīf).

machine translationʿImrān b. Anas mentioned that he asked Mālik about this hadith of Umm Salamah, and he said: "It is not from my hadith." He said: I said to those sitting with him: "Shuʿbah narrated it from him and related it on his authority, yet he says it is not from my hadith." They said to me: "When he does not adopt a hadith, he says of it: it is not from my hadith."
