حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِاللَّيْلِ، وَقِرَاءَتِهِ. فَقَالَتْ: مَا لَكُمْ وَلِصَلَاتِهِ، وَلِقِرَاءَتِهِ ! كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَدْرَ مَا يَنَامُ، وَيَنَامُ قَدْرَ مَا يُصَلِّي. وَإِذَا هِيَ تَنْعَتُ قِرَاءَةً مُفَسَّرَةً حَرْفًا حَرْفًا
Translation

✧ I asked Umm Salamah about the night prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his recitation. She said: 'What do you have to do with his prayer and his recitation! He would pray as much as he slept, and sleep as much as he prayed.' And she described a recitation that was clearly articulated, letter by letter.
