✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ standing at Arafat, and he had seated al-Fadl behind him. A Bedouin came and stood nearby, with a slave woman behind him. Al-Fadl began looking at her, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed him, so he kept turning his face away. He said: Then he said: O people, righteousness is not in hastening the horses or the camels. You must be calm. He said: Then he departed, and I did not see her raising her hand or galloping until he reached Muzdalifah. He said: When he stopped at Muzdalifah, he seated Usamah behind him, then said: O people, righteousness is not in hastening the horses or the camels. You must be calm. He said: Then he departed, and I did not see it raising its hand or galloping until it reached Mina. Then he brought to us the weak ones of Banu Hashim on their small donkeys, and he began striking our thighs and saying: O my sons, depart, and do not throw the pebble until the sun rises.
