✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ traveled, the last of his family he would take leave of was Fatimah, and the first he would enter upon when he arrived was Fatimah. He said: He returned from a military expedition and went to her. He found a coarse cloth hanging over her door, and he saw on al-Hasan and al-Husayn two silver bracelets. He turned back and did not enter upon her. When Fatimah saw that, she thought he did not enter upon her because of what he had seen. So she tore down the curtain and removed the two bracelets from the boys and cut them apart, and the boys wept. She divided them between the two of them. They went to the Messenger of God ﷺ crying. The Messenger of God ﷺ took them from them and said: O Thawban, go with this to the clan of so-and-so, a household in Madinah, and buy for Fatimah a necklace of tendon and two bracelets of ivory. For these are my household, and I do not like them to consume their good things in the life of this world.
