✧ Abu Bakrah Nufay' b. al-Harith b. Kaladah

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ، فَصَلَّى بِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَتَأَخَّرُوا، وَجَاءَ الْآخَرُونَ فَكَانُوا فِي مَكَانِهِمْ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، فَصَارَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتِ، وَلِلْقَوْمِ رَكْعَتَانِ رَكْعَتَانِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ led us in the prayer of fear. He prayed two rakʿahs with one group of his companions, then he said the salutation. They withdrew, and the others came and took their place, and he prayed two rakʿahs with them and then said the salutation. Thus the Prophet ﷺ had four rakʿahs, and the people had two rakʿahs each.
