✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, I cannot recite the Qurʾān, so command me with what will suffice me from it. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Say: Praise be to Allah, Glory be to Allah, There is no god but Allah, Allah is Greatest, and There is no might nor power except with Allah. The man said it and clenched his fist, counting five with his thumb. He said: O Messenger of Allah, this is for Allah, Exalted be He, so what is for myself? He said: Say: O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me. He said it and clenched his other fist, counting five with his thumb. The man left having clenched both fists. The Prophet ﷺ said: He has filled his fists with good.
