حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى: أَوْصَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِشَيْءٍ ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قُلْتُ: فَكَيْفَ أَمَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالْوَصِيَّةِ ؟ قَالَ: أَوْصَى بِكِتَابِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

Translation

✧ I asked Abdullah bin Abi Awfa, did the Prophet ﷺ recommend anything? He replied, no. So I asked, then how did the Prophet ﷺ instruct the Muslims regarding wills? He said, he instructed through the Book of Allah.
