✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the conquest, and we stayed fifteen days and nights. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted us to engage in mut'ah. He said: I and a cousin of mine went out in the lower part of Makkah, or he said in the upper part of Makkah, and a young woman of Banu 'Amir b. Sa'sa'ah met us, like a tall, graceful young she-camel. He said: And I was close to ugliness, and I was wearing a new, fresh striped garment, while my cousin was wearing a worn-out striped garment. He said: We said to her: "Would you like one of us to engage in mut'ah with you?" She said: "Is that permissible?" He said: We said: "Yes." He said: She began to look at my cousin, so I said to her: "Indeed this striped garment of mine is new and fresh, while my cousin's striped garment is old and threadbare." She said: "This striped garment of your cousin is acceptable." He said: So he engaged in mut'ah with her. We had not left Makkah before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it.
