✧ He was with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he passed by the mosque of Banu Mu'awiya, entered it, and prayed two rak'as in it. Then he stood and conversed privately with his Lord, then departed, and said: I asked my Lord for three things, and He granted me two and withheld one. I asked Him not to destroy my community by drowning nor by the year—meaning by famine—and He granted me those two. And I asked Him not to make their might turn against themselves, and He withheld that from me.
