حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، يَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا يَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: الْقَتْلُ، الْقَتْلُ

Translation

✧ Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near: knowledge will decrease and killing will increase. He said: I said: What does 'killing will increase' mean, O Messenger of God? He said: Killing, killing.
