حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَهَاشِمٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ يَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا الْهَرْجُ ؟ قَالَ: الْقَتْلُ.

Translation

✧ "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near: knowledge will decrease and killing will increase." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is killing?" He said: "Murder."
