✧ The Prophet ﷺ woke up saying: «There is no god but God. Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Today a breach has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog,» and he made a circle with his hand. I said, "O Messenger of God, will we perish while there are righteous people among us?" He said: «Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread.»

- Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationBut the disagreement in it comes from the narrators from Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah, and the narration of those who narrated from him "ninety" or "a hundred" is more precise and more numerous than the narration of those who narrated "ten". And when the source of the hadith is one, especially at the end of the chain, [it is unlikely to be taken as multiple occurrences], after assuming very great multiplicity.
