حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى وَعِيسَى ابْنَيْ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا قَالَ:
مُرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِبَعِيرٍ قَدْ وُسِمَ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: لَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ هَذَا الْبَعِيرِ عَزَلُوا النَّارَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الدَّابَّةِ ؟ قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: لَأَسِمَنَّ فِي أَبْعَدِ مَكَانٍ مِنْ وَجْهِهَا، قَالَ: فَوَسَمْتُ فِي عَجْبِ الذَّنَبِ
Translation

✧ A camel that had been branded on its face was brought past the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: "If only the owners of this camel had kept the fire away from this animal?" He said: So I said: "I will certainly brand it in the farthest place from its face." He said: So I branded it on the root of the tail.
