✧ Abu Jahl said: Does Muhammad rub his face in the dust among you? They said: Yes. He said: Then by the one we swear by, if I saw that I would surely trample on his neck. He said: So it was said to him: There he is praying. So he went to him, claiming he would trample on his neck. He said: But no sooner did he approach him than he was retreating on his heels and shielding himself with his hands. His companions came to him and said: What is wrong with you, O Abu al-Hakam? He said: Indeed between me and him there is a trench of fire and wings. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: By the one in whose hand is my soul, if he had come near me, the angels would have snatched him away limb by limb. He said: Then Allah revealed: Have you seen the one who forbids a servant when he prays?
