حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، أَنَّ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيَّ، سَأَلَ عَلِيًّا عَنْ هَذَا، فَذَكَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ
Translation
✧ Zuhayr narrated to us: Wakiʿ narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from ʿAsim, from Zirr, that ʿAbidah al-Salmani asked Ali about this, and he mentioned from the Prophet ﷺ something similar to the hadith of Shuʿbah.
