حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ، عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فُرَضِ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَقَالَ: شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى، صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ، حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، مَلَأَ اللهُ أَجْوَافَهُمْ - أَوْ: بُيُوتَهُمْ - وَبُطُونَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا

✧ On the day of the Trench, the Prophet ﷺ was at one of the openings of the trench and said: ‘They diverted us from the middle prayer, the ʿAsr prayer, until the sun set. May God fill their cavities—or their houses—their bellies, and their graves with fire.’
