✧ Ibrahim did not lie except for three lies, all of them for the sake of Allah: his saying, 'Indeed, I am ill,' and his saying, 'Rather, the biggest of them did this.' And the Prophet ﷺ said: Ibrahim ﷺ went out traveling in the land of a tyrant among the tyrants, and with him was Sarah, and she was among the most beautiful of women. It reached that tyrant that in your land there is a man with a woman the like of whom no onlooker has seen more beautiful. So he sent for him, and he came to him, and he asked him about the woman, 'Who is the woman who is with you?' He said, 'My sister.' He said, 'Then send her to me.' So he sent a messenger with him to her. He came to her and said, 'This tyrant asked me about you, and I told him that you are my sister—and you are my sister in Islam—and he asked me to send you to him. So go to him, for Allah will protect you from him.' He said: So she went to him with his messenger. When he brought her before him, he lunged at her but was held back from her. He said to her, 'Call upon your God whom you worship to release me, and I will not return to what you dislike.' So she called upon Allah and He released him. He did that three times. Then he said to the one who brought her, 'Take her away from me, for you have not brought me a human; you have brought me a she-devil.' He gave her Hagar as a servant. She returned to Ibrahim, and he asked her to give Hagar to him, so she gave her to him.
