حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، أَوْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، كُنْ وَرِعًا تَكُنْ عَابِدًا، وَاجْتَنِبِ الْمَحَارِمَ تَكُنْ زَاهِدًا، وَأَحْسِنْ جِوَارَ مَنْ جَاوَرَكَ، تَكُنْ مُسْلِمًا، وَأَحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ تَكُنْ مُؤْمِنًا

✧ O Abu Hurayra, be scrupulous and you will be a devoted worshiper. Avoid what is forbidden and you will be ascetic. Be good to your neighbor and you will be a Muslim. Love for people what you love for yourself and you will be a believer.
