حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ أَدْخَلَ فَرَسًا بَيْنَ فَرَسَيْنِ وَهُوَ يُؤَمَّلُ أَنْ يُسْبَقَ، فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ، وَمَنْ أَدْخَلَ فَرَسًا بَيْنَ فَرَسَيْنِ وَهُوَ لَا يُؤَمَّلُ أَنْ يُسْبَقَ، فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ

✧ Whoever enters a horse between two others hoping that it will be beaten, there is no good in it. And whoever enters a horse between two others not hoping that it will be beaten, there is no harm in it.
