حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَبَّانُ بْنُ فَائِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَفْضَلِ الْإِيمَانِ قَالَ: أَفْضَلُ الْإِيمَانِ: أَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلهِ وَتُبْغِضَ فِي اللهِ، وَتُعْمِلَ لِسَانَكَ فِي ذِكْرِ اللهِ قَالَ: وَمَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: وَأَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ، وَتَكْرَهَ لَهُمْ مَا تَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ، وَأَنْ تَقُولَ خَيْرًا أَوْ تَصْمُتَ
Translation

✧ He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the best of faith. He said: "The best of faith is that you love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah, and that you keep your tongue busy with the remembrance of Allah." He said: "And what else, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "And that you love for people what you love for yourself, and dislike for them what you dislike for yourself, and that you say what is good or remain silent."
