✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ encouraged jihad one day, and they crowded around him until they overwhelmed him. In the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was a palm branch from which its leaves had been stripped, but one leaf remained which he did not notice. He said: Move back from me—like this—for you have crowded me. The Prophet ﷺ struck the belly of a man and made him bleed. The man went out saying: This is the action of your Prophet, so how [will it be] with the people? Umar heard him and said: Come to the Prophet ﷺ. If he is the one who struck you, he will give you your right from himself; but if you have lied, I will drag you by your turban until you speak. The man said: Go in peace, for I do not want to go with you. He said: I am not leaving you. Umar took him until he brought him to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and said: This man claims that you struck him and made his belly bleed. What do you think? The Prophet ﷺ said: Is it true that I struck him? The man said: Yes, O Prophet of Allah. He said: Did anyone see that? He said: There were people of the Muslims here. He said: O Allah, I testify by the testimony of a man who saw that—except.
