حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَنِ احْتَكَرَ طَعَامًا أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِنَ اللهِ وَبَرِئَ اللهُ مِنْهُ، وَأَيُّمَا أَهْلِ عَرْصَةٍ أَصْبَحَ فِيهِمُ امْرُؤٌ جَائِعٌ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُمْ ذِمَّةُ اللهِ

✧ Whoever hoards food for forty nights has disowned Allah and Allah has disowned him. And any people of a neighborhood in which a hungry person spends the morning, the protection of Allah is withdrawn from them.
