✧ I wore a silk garment and came upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ—while he was near the room of Hafsah—on a dark night. He heard the rustling of the garment and said, “Who is this?” I said, “Abdullah b. Umar.” He said, “Raise your garment, for the one who drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him.” He said, “That night my lower garment was up to the middle of my shins.”
