✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ married me when I was a girl of six years, and he consummated the marriage with me when I was a girl of nine years. Then we came to Madinah, and I fell ill for a month, and my hair grew to a bob. Umm Ruman came to me while I was on a swing, and she called out to me, so I went to her, not knowing what was wanted from me. She took me by the hand and stood me at the door, and I said, 'Hah, hah,' until my breath went away. Then she brought me into a house, and there were women of the Ansar. They said to me, 'Upon goodness and blessing, upon the best omen.' Then she handed me over to them, and they washed my head and groomed me. Nothing startled me except the Messenger of God ﷺ, and they handed me over to him.
