حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ، عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

عَثَرَ أُسَامَةُ بِعَتَبَةِ الْبَابِ، فَشُجَّ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: يَا عَائِشَةُ، أَمِيطِي عَنْهُ الْأَذَى، فَقَذَرْتُهَا، فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمُصُّ شَجَّتَهُ وَيَمُجُّهَا، وَيَقُولُ: لَوْ كَانَ أُسَامَةُ جَارِيَةً، لَحَلَّيْتُهُ وَكَسَوْتُهُ، حَتَّى أُنَفِّقَهُ

Translation

✧ Usama stumbled on the threshold of the door and was cut in his face. The Prophet ﷺ said to me: 'O 'A'isha, remove the harm from him.' I found it disgusting, so the Prophet ﷺ began sucking his wound and spitting it out, saying: 'If Usama were a girl, I would have adorned him and clothed him until I made him desirable.'
