✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me one day to wash the face of Usamah b. Zayd while he was a young boy. She said: I had not given birth and did not know how boys are washed. She said: So I took him and washed him, but not thoroughly. She said: Then he took him and began washing his face, saying, ‘We have been favored that you are not a girl. Had you been a girl, I would have adorned you and given you gifts.’
